It’s normal for macOS to ask for a username and password when installing software or updates. Choose the physical microphone and/or speaker you wish to use. The Krisp mic and speaker are virtual devices, so this isn’t a problem and there will be no echo.Open up the Krisp app and go to settings. Google Meet is browser based, so you can still use it in any browser you like.Note: You may see a warning that says “Using different devices as your mic and speaker can cause echo.” Don’t worry about this. If this is the case, you’ll need to use Google Chrome which will allow the change. Make sure that the Remove Noise toggles are turned on.Open up Zoom and do a test call to make sure everything is working correctly.Note: You’ll notice that the “Not used” indicator will be switched to “ Used by zoom.us ” when there is an ongoing call.Go to Google Meet > Settings > Audio and change the Speaker and/or Microphone to Krisp.Some browsers, such as Safari, won’t let you change the speaker. The below example is from Zoom:You can test how well Krisp is blocking your background noise with the “Test Noise Cancellation” option.Open the Krisp app and click on the “Test Noise Cancellation.”Make a short recording with the typical background noises of your environment present, then listen to the noise-cancelled result.Note: For the optimal result, your recording should be at least 7-8 seconds long. Simply select the physical microphone and speaker you wish to use in the Krisp app and turn on the noise cancellation toggles.Then, select the Krisp microphone and speaker in the audio settings of whichever app you choose. As long as the app works with virtual devices in general and has dedicated audio settings, you can configure it with Krisp. Krisp will work with any app that uses your microphone and speaker.
